Projekts Skatepark MCR

Projekts MCR are operating more than a skatepark. They are a Community Benefit Society dedicated to making skateboarding accessible to those in society that are under-represented. The Projekts team asked us for a Masons Sound AV installation that looks great, sounds amazing and performs reliably. So that’s what we installed. As a result they are now fully AV equipped to host a multitude of events.

System Description

Martin Audio Adorn speakers are fitted into the cafe shop and meeting room. Additionally, we installed a Martin Audio SX10 sub into each space. The subs are wall-mounted in order to save floor space. Consequently, the speakers are visually cohesive with the interior design of the spaces.  The full range speakers and subs have acoustically matched responses.  This helps to deliver warm, punchy and uniform sound throughout each space.

The core of the skatepark features a 10 meter wide walkway. This space is covered by six waterproof (IP55) Audac WX802 speakers. A  further two mounted on a 1st floor gangway cover the gangway where we’ve also installed a DJ input. These powerful and attractive speakers throw sound across the entire skatepark.  We installed all the outside speakers on yolk brackets. As a result Projekts can tailor the sound coverage to suit any event.

We installed a full suite of AV equipment in the first floor function space. A powerful Optoma projector ensures the image on the retractable screen is visible in all light conditions. Secondly, we installed an audio input and HDMI input ensure reliable video connectivity. Volume control for the three zones and input switching is controlled from the front of the rack. It has been discretely installed behind the shop counter so the system control is kept safely in the hands of Projekts MCR staff.
